Growth in India’s long-term investing base

EY sees more than 100 million Indians joining long-term investing by 2035, with Tier 2 and 3 cities, women and younger investors expected to drive growth. Yet only 62 million people invest in mutual funds, compared with 500–550 million UPI users; investable household assets reached nearly $5.2 trillion in FY25.
