September auto retail sales reach record levels
Indian auto retail sales rose 31.82% year on year in September, with two-wheeler sales up 33.08% to 17,90,188 units and passenger-vehicle sales reaching 4,27,213 units. Festive buying, rural demand, premium motorcycles and EV adoption supported sales, though dealers reported rising inventory.
