Euro zone inflation and ECB rate outlook
Euro zone inflation surged more than expected, while German inflation reached its highest level in almost three years, increasing pressure on the ECB to raise rates. ECB official Olli Rehn said soaring yields may help curb the inflationary effect of expensive energy; rate-hike bets later faded despite both the Fed and ECB having raised rates last month.
