India’s engagement with AIIB and Qatar
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited Qatar from 27–29 September for the AIIB annual meeting, with talks with Qatar’s finance minister expected to potentially advance India-Qatar investment discussions. She met AIIB President Zou Jiayi and suggested expanding the bank’s financing beyond physical infrastructure.
